Charles Rabkin
Charles’ interest in aviation started around age 6 watching the Point Magu air show with his grandfather. He soon started building plastic models, rubber band powered balsawood replicas, and the radio-controlled aircraft. He began flying in a Beechcraft Skipper when he was 14 and today aviation is still his favorite vocation. When not teaching, Charles works as a systems engineer in the aerospace and defense industry, and has dual engineering degrees from Northwestern University and a master in economics from UCSB.
Charles has flown off of mountain lakes and out of busy airport hubs, in 50 year old planes that go 80mph and brand new planes that cruise at 350mph. Aviation is wonderful in that anything with wings or rotors, old or new, fast or slow, has led to fun and exciting experiences. Teaching others to fly takes everything to the next level and I look forward to helping you become a safe and happy pilot.
