Gray started flying in the Colorado mountains at the age of 14 and by 17 had achieved his pilot license. He continued on to earn multiple degrees outside of flying in university while at the same time he continued his flight training. After college Gray settled on flying as a career and continued his training to achieve multiple instructor certifications, including glider instructor. He recently moved to Santa Barbara after spending 8 years flying tourists to remote airstrips in Baja California.
